Building Memories

At the end of January we had Mason's 3D/4D photos done. He was positioned in a way that it was difficult to really get any good pictures. The tech tried so hard, but Mason was facing my spine. This is the best she could get. As you can see, we got really lucky with Madden's. He cooperated perfectly. We can't wait to see what Mason will look like. Of course we would just be tickled if he looked like a little Madden Jr.
Although, if he has his own unique look...that's just wonderful, too!

March 7th marked 8 years since our sweet Erika has been gone.
We miss her more than I can even put into to words.
It makes me feel good that my family does so well keeping her memory alive.

Mom, Aaron, Amy, Kaitlyn, Landry, Camden, Jayme, Madden and I all met out at the cemetery. Aaron brought some beautiful flowers for Erika. I know Erika loved them!

Every year I take a picture of Madden sitting on Erika's marker. He obviously has no idea that he has a special Angel looking over him, but one day I will show him all the pictures. On this particular day...Madden had been sleeping and I chose to wake him. Obviously, it wasn't the best choice, but I was just being selfish and wanted to keep the "tradition".
I'm sure he'll forgive me:)

Mom bought some gorgeous flowers for MiMi & PaPa. When we left, Mom treated us all to a yummy blizzard. Erika LOVED blizzards, so it was a perfect idea. Thanks, Mom!

Happy Valentine's Day, 2012!

Annie Mae mailed Madden this sweet Valentine's blanket. He loves it!

Madden expressing his love for Whitney....his SUPER CUTE girlfriend!
Madden must have lined up the candy that Grammy got him 101 times! He's a little obsessive:)

I'm the classic dork! I made Mike this home-made Valentine:)
Personally, I think it's pretty darn sweet! I think the milk duds really gave it the added touch!

Mike sent me these pretty roses at school. He always knows how to make me feel special:)

Madden's Valentine's from Grammy, MiMi, and Us

Here he is organizing his treats again:)

I know it's hard to believe that Madden just got his first hair cut at two and half, but it's true. We decided that it was time to tame his curls a little bit. We decided to tag along with Amy and watch Landry get his hair cut. The plan was, if all went well...we would take the plunge and get Madden's locks done, too. As you can see....It went GREAT! Madden was such a big boy. He didn't cry or anything. We were so proud of him!

He loved the sucker that Beth gave him!
Being shy as we were leaving:)

Holding Grammy's hand like a big boy...I think he liked getting his hair cut!

Looking handsome on our way to dinner
Grammy and I took Madden to eat at the Black-Eyed Pea afterwards.
To be honest...it was a bit of challenge, but we all survived:)
This pic spells T-R-O-U-B-L-E

We had fun celebrating some birthdays in late January/early February. I can't believe my sweet nephew is already 4! Camden, it seems like we were just at the hospital waiting on you to arrive not too long ago. Where does the time go?

Camden looking super cute with his Cars cake!

Madden thought he was tough stuff sitting on the four wheeler.
His cousins are pros at riding these all over there Grandpa's land,
but we aren't quite ready for Madden to take off on one yet:)

Aaron and Camden shooting off fireworks. Camden has always loved doing this!

Madden was a good helper. He picked up all the old ones:)

Grammy & Madden...FREEZING!

Camden was SO excited about his bounce house...I loved seeing him SO happy!

Mike did an AWESOME job on Mason's nursery! He worked so hard! I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the way it all came together. Mason is going to adore it:)

We were so anxious to take pictures...you can still see the paint drying:)

Mike's creativity is the best!
