There's No Place Like Home
Yes, I AM A BiG Deal!
I Love My Swing
Mike and I can hardly believe that we are finally home with our sweet baby boy. This has been the longest 20 days of our lives. Madden will be 3 weeks tomorrow. We are going to see Dr. Mann in the morning at 9:00. That will be Madden's birthday down to the minute; which we thought was neat. Last night, we roomed-in at Cook's. Since we survived the night alone and Madden passed all of his requirements, we were released this afternoon around 3:00. We are absolutely exhausted, but are looking forward to spending the next 4 days at home as a family of three. Mike is off tomorrow and Monday is a holiday, so everything worked out perfectly. I know many of our friends and family are anxious to see Madden, but Mike and I need to get caught up on our quality time with him first. Apparently the power of prayer works...thanks for everything everyone has done for us. Like many of you have been telling us: EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON! Madden was very well taken care of at Cook's and he had some amazing nurses. Mike and I are reassured more than ever now that Madden is one healthy baby! He was checked daily from head-to-toe and monitored as closely as possible. All of this could have been a blessing in disguise....so I'm not going to regret one minute of it. This quote pretty much describes what I realized about Mike and I during this whole experience:

We are so excited for your family of 3 finally together. We totally understand about needing to get caught up. You have 20 days worth to make up for! Enjoy every minute and the no sleep because it goes by so quickly and pretty soon they are running around the house before you even know it. We can't wait for Camden and the new baby to have a little cousin their size to play with soon. Christmas will be so much fun!!!!! Love you guys and give Madden a big welcome home kiss from The Sossamon's. We will come see you guys soon when you are ready :) Cherish that precious baby boy! Boys sure do love their Mommy's love!
ReplyDeleteMike, Ashley and Madden,
ReplyDeleteI am so happy you guys made it home and I hope you enjoy your special time together. Prayers were answered and you are now blessed with a long perfect weekend.
You can add and remember God doesn't give you more than you can handle. That seems to be my favorite.
I hope to see you next week sometime.
Love & Hugs,
Mel
Music to everyone's ears!!!! So happy y'all are home together. Enjoy yourselves and when Mike is ready, I'll make him some more of his favorite Neiman Marcus Bars. Love you! Judy
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear the great news.. I was waited for you guys to post that he finally made it home. He sure is a cute little guy. You guys are very strong and try hard to stay that way. Having a sick child can really be difficult on couples if they dont stick together. (((((Morris Family)))) They grow up really fast.

I'm just now getting caught up on blogs from the last 3 weeks or so - I didn't realize sweet Madden had been in the hospital all this time! I'm so thankful that you all are finally home. I will be praying for the rest, health and peace you and Mike both need! (Madden sure is a cutie pie!!)
