Let's Play Catch-Up!

I'm starting this whole blog thing a little late, considering I'm over 3 months pregnant. I guess it's better late than never. Here it goes...Mike and I started trying to have a baby in September. We weren't obsessed about it, but we definitely weren't preventing a baby from being made. Well, let me clarify....we weren't obsessed with "trying", but I was obsessed with taking pregnancy tests! 3 months went by with about 30 negative tests. So, I decided that my New Years resolution was to try harder to get pregnant. On New Years Day, Mike wanted me to take another pregnancy test, so I did. It came up as an error, so I decided I would just wait and take one the next day. Well, the next morning at 5:00 I saw the magic word....

P-R-E-G-N-A-N-T!

I woke Mike up right away! I had to take 3 more test throughout the day to be sure. I was definitely pregnant! That's how the journey began.

On February 16, I went to the doctor for my first sonogram. It was very exciting! I was so nervous that I wouldn't be able to see or hear anything, but right away it was all so clear. The baby was measuring well, I had only lost 3.5 pounds, my bloodpressure was decent, and most importantly the baby's heartbeat was strong (125 sleeping and 175 while awake)! Enjoy the sweet picture:)
