TGIF

Madden playing at Grammy's
I am so glad it's the weekend! I can't believe Madden only has one more week with Grammy. I know he's going to miss her, but we are going to schedule multiple-outings per week over the Summer. I'm sure she'll still talk to him on the phone EVERY DAY; just as she does now. She just can't get enough of him! August will be rolling around soon and Madden will have to share Grammy with Landry; which I'm so happy about! She has plenty of love to go around and I want Madden and Landry to grow up together. Lot's of special memories will be made for sure:)

Sunday Outing

This is how our day went....
Here's Madden sitting on our bed this morning. He loves just to hang out. He had no idea that mommy was going to take him out and about today, while daddy worked in the yard. We are major home-bodies, so I'm really going to try and get him out of the house more often.
Madden, Grammy, and I went to eat lunch at Campo Verde. This is Madden's 4th time at this restaurant. I think he's starting to notice the train now. It's pretty dark inside, but he's amazed by all the different lights. It's probably sensory overload, but he seems to enjoy the atmosphere.
Then we took a trip to Michael's! This was his first time in a shopping cart. He did fantastic! The store was bright and everything looked like eye candy to him. This was just the first of many shopping trips.
Our little Tiger....ROAR!!!!!!!!
Of course I had to capture this moment, too! We probably looked pretty silly taking all these pictures, but we sure did have fun!
Monkey Man!
We made our way over to the Sossamon's today; which we really should do more often. Madden seems really comfortable with Aaron, Amy, Kaitlyn, and Camden. I say that, because he has been experiencing some anxiety lately. Camden was really sweet with Madden. Madden seems to really have eyes for kaitlyn. He didn't notice Landry a whole lot, but he did grab his hand a few times; which was sweet. Landry is so cute! I know that Madden, Landry, and Camden are going to grow-up to be best buds!
Sweet Kaitlyn & Madden
Here's Camden giving Madden his keys. Camden has always been so gentle with Madden. I think Madden already looks up to his big cousin.

Madden was being pouty pants here. Uncle Aaron was nice enough to carry him out to the car for me. Thanks for giving my arm a break, Aaron!
He was so tired! We had an eventful day, compared to usual. He fell fast asleep on the way home. He really loves his new big boy car seat. We had to upgrade, because chunky weighs 22 pounds now!
It was a great day!

Great Appointment!

Today's 9month well-visit was wonderful! Dr. Mann said Madden is going to be a football player! He now weighs 22 pounds and is over 30 inches tall. He's in the 75th percentile for weight and the 95th percentile for height. I love that he's already tall like his daddy!
Madden still can't say mama, but of course he can say several different forms of Mike's name: "Daddy, Da Da, and Dad." He also says, "Bye, Bye!" My mom taught him how to give a high-give about a month ago and he's still doing it.
He is such a busy body, that it's a challenge to keep him still at times. Giving him a bath and changing his diaper has become a chore, but I still love it! The child gets to where he needs to go by scooting, turning, rolling, and inching across the floor backwards, but......he's still not "officially" crawling. He loves to pull up on anything and everything. If you just barely are holding onto his hands, he pops right up. He is super strong!
Obviously he has a healthy appetite. We are going to start introducing him to a sippy cup. I'm pretty sure I know how that's going to workout....the cup will end up across the room. Why do little boys love to throw everything? Well, that's the update on our little love-bug. Mike and I just love him to pieces!

9 Months

Our little man turned 9 months yesterday! Here are some pics from the past couple of weeks. I will post details about Madden's 9 month appointment on Wednesday after we go to the doctor and let everyone know all the exciting things Madden is doing now. He's growing up so fast! Enjoy the pics:)

Bluebonnets

My best friend, Charity, was so kind to take some photos of Madden in the bluebonnets. I figured he would be fascinated by the bluebonnets.....I thought WRONG! Every time I put him down, he would start crying. It wasn't a little pucker or a frown....it was a traumatized scream! I'm not sure if it was the fact that I was putting him down or if the bluebonnets scared him. Who knows?
He's been extra clingy lately and a little sensitive of some random things. For example, he is terrified of the big, bad, blender! Then, there's this sweet book, "B is for Bear", that I read him every night, but every time I get to "O is for Owl", he let's out this terrible scream. It's pitiful:( We will be skipping that page for now. I do have to admit that the Owl is pretty freaky. I will have to post a pic of this awful owl at a later time. Lastly, we have this cute cow that moos when you pull it's tail. He is absolutely HORRIFIED of that sound. So, there will be no mooing at the Morris house:) He might have a touch of anxiety...I'm just saying:) Mike brought him up to my school to see me recently and he just couldn't handle it. He was frightened by everyone. Poor baby!
