Our little Valentine is 6 months old

Our 6 month Love Bug
Happy Valentine's Day! Madden turned 6 months on Valentines. He is growing up so fast....too fast! It seems as though he changes DAILY! He now weighs 17 lbs 5 oz and is about 27 inches long (tall like his daddy). He's a fabulous eater and sleeper. We are so lucky that he STAYS asleep for about 12-13 hours every night. So far, he hasn't met a food he doesn't like. The boy loves his veggies. He's eating 3 meals a day and taking 5-6 bottles. Sitting up independently for a period of time is still a work in progress. I'm pretty sure he'll master it VERY soon. Did I mention that he already has 2 teeth and a 3rd one on the way? That's crazy to me. We are still dealing with his reflux, but it has improved a little....on some days at least. His bib is our friend:) We don't leave home without it! I can't wait to see what exciting things he'll do next.

As much as I love Madden's sweet smiles....this serious face is seriously cute:) This used to be his favorite expression.
We have started playing in the playroom a lot lately. I have a feeling that this is going to be one of the most popular rooms in the house. Madden seems to enjoy it.
We had a great V-Day weekend. Saturday, Mimi Morris watched Madden so that Mike and I could go on a date. We ate at OTB and went to see Valentine's Day. It was a nice treat:) We REALLY appreciated it. Sunday, Grammy came over to spend some time with us. She brought us a yummy cookie cake and some chocolates. Of course, she couldn't forget about Madden on his first Valentine's Day. She brought him a sweet card and a new frog toy. He loves anything that makes noise:) Grammy stayed and helped me give Madden a bath. In the spirit of Valentines Day, we ordered a heart shaped pizza. We had a really great day! I also want to thank my hubby for my beautiful roses....L-O-V-E them.....LOVE HIM!!!!
Grammy loves Madden!
Is it sad that I thought ordering a heart shaped pizza was romantic?

February Winter Wonderland

Texas Snow!
I could get used to this weather. It is absolutely beautiful! I can't wait until Madden is big enough to play in the snow and make a snowman. I would have loved to take his picture today, but there was NO WAY he was coming out in these conditions. He woke up sniffling, coughing, and congested. We were able to get him into the doctor and he JUST has a common cold. He tested negative for RSV...
Thank goodness!
I thought it would be sweet to write Madden's name in the snow. Mike enjoyed making fun of me for that.
Here's Madden cheesing it up for Grammy yesterday. He's always flashing her the sweetest little smiles. He adores her!

A Wonderful Weekend

What a hard life!
Enjoying a quick bath
We definitely could use more weekends! They always seem to fly by way too fast. My nephew, Camden, turned 2 on Friday. He has grown so much and I'm amazed at all of the clever things he can do and say. He is just the absolute cutest. We enjoyed his birthday party on Saturday. Aaron and Amy did a great job throwing him a car theme celebration. The decorations screamed C-A-M-D-E-N! So cute!!!
Madden and Camden weren't too sure what to think about all the guest. They both stayed in close reach of mommy and daddy. We left the party a little early, so that we would have time to visit the cemetery. I couldn't wait to go see the special bench that mom and I designed for Erika, Mimi, and Papa. It turned out beautiful!
This is Erika's side, with her favorite scripture verse on it.
Mimi and Papa's side has one of their favorite songs, Amazing Grace.
Love, Love, Love it!
